Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil alongside Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was born to an Madras High Court attorney. There is also an older sister currently employed as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was brought up within Chennai. He went to National Public School. After the completion of his studies, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began classes in classical piano when she was eight, has been called an "geek" and aspired to be a psychiatric until the 12th grade exam. In her twenties, she became an active member of the Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early performing and music composition career. She performed as a stage artist at her school and took part in several productions through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. She was President of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's acting career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in the lead role with Shiva in a Leo advertisement for coffee in the year 2006. She was also the character in Podhigai's series. She has performed in a variety of roles across India. She played a minor role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Gautham Vaisudev Menon had her sing in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, then requested her to play the female lead in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea was Kalyani, a housewife whose husband has been involved in an affair. She was blackmailed. Andrea got the part of Kalyani following Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were approached. The film came out at the start of 2010. She agreed in 2011 to take on a small support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha and it was came out in August 2011. In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam cinema with Rajeev Ravi's romance movie, Annayum Rasoolum.
